Change in Number of Ethics Training Hours

Ethics-booksAs of January 1st, 2014, the NAIC requirements for Ethics training will be changed from 4 hours to 3 hours. Socius Insurance Services has been approved in California for the updated Ethics requirements for all Property & Casualty license holders.

What this means is beginning on January 31, 2014, individuals who hold a property and/or casualty, a life and/or accident/health agent license will have their ethics training requirement reduced from 4 hours to 3 hours. In contrast, individuals who hold a personal lines or limited lines automobile insurance California Resident license will have their ethics training requirement increased from 2 hours to 3 hours.

Welcome Renato and Elisa!

bestWe are excited to announce two additions to our growing team! We want to welcome Renato Briones, Production Assistant and Elisa Underhill, Associate Broker.

Renato has worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years. He has seen it all while operating in retail, carrier and wholesale. He received his Bachelors of Science in the Philippines and in his spare time enjoys sports, movies, working out and traveling. Rene is optimistic and eager to share his skills and abilities with the company. He is looking forward to being a great asset to the Socius team during his long term endeavor.

Elisa graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Psychology. After spending 6 years at Aon and 5 years as a Property Broker in NY, she was part of the Corporate Strategy (LSS) team in Tampa. Elisa is a member of the Junior League and has her ARM designation. She is very excited to join the team at Socius and looks forward to growing professionally, while building lifelong relationships.
